Tarot Cards of the Week – 3

It’s funny how the strangest things stimulate our creativity. I woke up pretty cranky this morning, congested and with a headache that made me ask E. (that’s my amazing, sexy, beautiful, strong, intelligent girlfriend) if we spent last night drinking and partying. (Spoiler alert: we hadn’t). She burst into laughter when I linked my headache to an overactive third eye chakra – she’s still getting used to my hippie-ness. I wasn’t looking forward to working, but after we ate the delicious breakfast she made, I felt myself becoming calmer, more open, and eager to turn on my laptop and let the words and ideas flow. I now have our two…

    How to replenish yourself spiritually.

I have been writing a lot about power recently, so today I thought I’d continue on with that topic by talking about how to replenish our spiritual powers when they feel down. There are many times our powers feel like they are down. It can be after an illness, a stressful period, a life-changing event, living in a toxic, abusive household, or just having an argument with a relative, friend, or partner. Personally, I felt pretty drained spiritually after the holiday season, especially when I was hit with pretty bad PMS. While the root cause doesn’t necessarily stand out, and can be an accumulation of things all at once, the symptoms…

    #WitchyWednesday: Protection Ritual

Namasté witches! I’m excited to share this ritual with you for multiple reasons. First, I’m proud to share my first watercolour illustration – what started as an anxiety-relieving hobby is now something I can use for my business. Second, this is a full ritual, and I will be covering important steps, such as petitions and how to make them. Lastly, this is an important (if not THE most important) ritual to know, which is why I decided to write about it today. Every once in a while, we will need to put protection around ourselves or a loved one. Technically, it can be as simple as picturing our target surrounded…

Tarot Cards of the Week – 2

How’s your Monday going, my friends? I am writing this from my living room couch, surrounded by my cat and dog (though the former is carefully avoiding getting too close to the latter). I’m getting a little bit peckish so after I write and publish this post, I’ll go to the kitchen and make some sweet potato gnocchis, which, by the day, I dreamt about making last night! Our cards for this week look rather interesting, with The Chariot (7), The Lovers (6), and The Popess (2).  If last week’s theme was being kind to ourselves and cultivating gratitude, what I see here is the idea of balance in the…

    #WitchyWednesday: Prosperity Jar

It’s #WitchyWednesday, kids!  The first full moon of the year and decade is this Friday, and my intention is to share more witchy content in 2020 because I’m an #OutOfTheBroomCloset #ProudLesbianWitch. So today, I’d like to show you the prosperity jar I created. The purpose of this jar is to be a physical representation of the wealth and abundance I am bringing into my household and my life, for my loved ones and myself.  This isn’t the first abundance or money jar I ever made, but it’s a little different from the ones I’ve put together in recent years. My intention for this spell is to attract more tarot…

Tarot Cards of the Week – 1

This is the first full week of 2020, and I want to try something a little different from the daily tarot cards I used to post on my social media. Instead of scheduling them a week (or even a month) in advance and not really feeling their true energy, I have decided to have a three-card drawing every Monday morning and post about it later in the day. I have a feeling this will be less of a chore for me to do, and so what I will be giving you each week will be far more authentic and connected with spirit than what I did before. I also hope…

    You are a magical being.

How would you feel at the idea that you are a magical being, born with spiritual powers that you can use to create a magnificent life for yourself and do good in the world? Popular culture has almost convinced us that only few are born with special powers, from magical beings in fairy tales, to Harry Potter, where the world is split in two with Muggles (or, in America, No-Majs), who don’t have the capacity to do magic, and wizards, who are born with powers. Don’t misunderstand me, I love fairy tales and am a card-carrying Potterhead. But there’s something highly inaccurate to this irreversible split between mortals and magical…
