Tarot Cards of the Week – 3

It’s funny how the strangest things stimulate our creativity. I woke up pretty cranky this morning, congested and with a headache that made me ask E. (that’s my amazing, sexy, beautiful, strong, intelligent girlfriend) if we spent last night drinking and partying. (Spoiler alert: we hadn’t). She burst into laughter when I linked my headache to an overactive third eye chakra – she’s still getting used to my hippie-ness. I wasn’t looking forward to working, but after we ate the delicious breakfast she made, I felt myself becoming calmer, more open, and eager to turn on my laptop and let the words and ideas flow. I now have our two…

Tarot Cards of the Week – 2

How’s your Monday going, my friends? I am writing this from my living room couch, surrounded by my cat and dog (though the former is carefully avoiding getting too close to the latter). I’m getting a little bit peckish so after I write and publish this post, I’ll go to the kitchen and make some sweet potato gnocchis, which, by the day, I dreamt about making last night! Our cards for this week look rather interesting, with The Chariot (7), The Lovers (6), and The Popess (2). ┬áIf last week’s theme was being kind to ourselves and cultivating gratitude, what I see here is the idea of balance in the…

Tarot Cards of the Week – 1

This is the first full week of 2020, and I want to try something a little different from the daily tarot cards I used to post on my social media. Instead of scheduling them a week (or even a month) in advance and not really feeling their true energy, I have decided to have a three-card drawing every Monday morning and post about it later in the day. I have a feeling this will be less of a chore for me to do, and so what I will be giving you each week will be far more authentic and connected with spirit than what I did before. I also hope…

    Our very first workshop!

When I first came up with the idea that is now The Empress Within, I allowed myself to dream about all the things I wanted to do. Publish a best-selling book with Hay House, give Ted talks, travel all over the world and inspire countless people to use adversity in their advantage, to build their empires with the stones thrown at them. And, before all that happened, one of my goals was to teach a tarot workshop. This summer, knowing I was returning to Virginia Beach, I decided to launch one. After all, I had created and taught plenty of workshops when I was a French language teacher. It had…

    2019 Tarot Reading

I hope you enjoyed my live 2019 tarot reading on Facebook yesterday! If you missed it or prefer a condensed, written version, here’s a recap of the drawing I made for the next twelve months. The deck I’m using, the Medieval Cat Tarot, is my favourite; you can see from its state that it has been well used and loved for many years. In fact, it was with this deck that I became really fluent, so to speak, in tarot, and gained the necessary confidence to offer professional readings. The illustrations are incredibly beautiful and unique all the while not deviating too much from the original tarot symbolism. Before I…
