February 2019 Taroscope

Hello friends! This January, I came up with the idea of doing a monthly taroscope reading where I’d draw a Major Arcana card for each zodiac sign. January 2019’s taroscope was live on my Facebook page but this month’s will be in writing because I’m currently dealing with a recurring allergy that makes my eyes look red and swollen, so I’ll do a video when that gets better.

With no further ado, here’s what the cards have in store for us this month!

February 2019 is defined by The Tower. This card may look scary at first since it represents destruction and devastation, but I learned to look at it differently. When The Tower appears in a spread, it reminds us to make solidity our priority in every aspect of our life. For example, if you’re looking to make a big purchase, such as a new computer or car, wait a little longer, save some more money, and go for the better, more reliable model rather than the cheaper one that will break down on you at the worst moment (and for the love of everything sacred, don’t make any big technology purchases or sign contracts when Mercury’s in retrograde). Same with relationships: if the person you’re dating raises a lot of red flags, it’s better to end it and wait a little longer for the right person to come into your life. The Tower also applies, almost by definition, to housing: don’t sign a lease with someone your gut tells you is sketchy and will inevitably play power games and take advantage of you, and avoid, as much as possible, renting under the table without a contract to protect you. Why should you follow this advice? Because it’s better to avoid making mistakes that will not only bring you right where you started but also with an added pile of rubble (figurative or real) to clean up.

With solidity being the theme of the month, let’s see what’s in store for each particular sign:

Aries (March 21st – April 19th) – The Emperor:

The Emperor symbolizes authority and power, especially in business and politics. Aries, if you’re business owners or leaders in any way (and that’s something that suits you well), or if you’re aspiring to that, make sure you do everything in your power to establish your authority in a strong, solid way. Don’t leave anything to chance or let there be any loose ends. When you’re in a position of authority, people will try to undermine you and take advantage of you. Don’t make it easy for them. And while you’re at it, y’all, don’t let power get to your head. That’s another thing that, if overused, may lead to a sudden collapse.

Taurus (April 20th – May 20th) – The Magician:

The Magician represents the power we have within us to create and/or manifest anything we want. Taurus, if you’re looking to start something new, or to attract something positive in your life, this is a good time to do it. And again, make sure that you don’t skip any important steps (to avoid a future collapse), take your time, be patient, trust in yourselves and, if you believe in that, trust in a higher power that’s on your side. Build your new project slowly but surely, and make sure every step or decision you are taking is the best you can take.

Gemini (May 21st – June 20th) – Temperance:

Temperance represents balance and stillness. Gemini friends (and people who have Gemini rising, like Yours Truly!), this may be the perfect month for you to establish balance in the areas of your life that direly need it – they won’t be so hard to identify. On another level, Gemini have a dual nature and two different personality traits within them that try (and sometimes fail) to cohabit. That’s why you may feel that people struggle to understand you, or even that you struggle to understand yourself (it’s something the Gemini in me knows something about!). This is where the meditative symbolic of Temperance comes into play (if you look at it, it’s a woman standing still and pouring water from one jar into another). Make it a daily or weekly habit this month to sit down in stillness with yourself, and express gratitude for who you are, no matter how complex, and what you’ve managed to bring into your life.

Cancer (June 21st – July 22nd) – The Moon:

The Moon is an interesting card. It represents hidden knowledge, such as a pregnancy you don’t know about, for example. But it can also represent doubt, the feeling of being stuck and not knowing where you’re going, or even depression. If that’s the case for you this month, Cancers, don’t worry. If you’re in fact choosing solidity but feeling that the decision you made is not leading you anywhere, don’t fret. It’s just an illusion – you ARE moving forward even if you’re currently unaware of it. Have faith in yourself and in your endeavours, and remember, after The Moon comes The Sun, and you can’t do better than that!

Leo (July 23rd – August 22nd) – The Wheel of Fortune:

Leos, there’s movement and change in store for you this month. And it’s not something you can avoid, it’s not something any of us can avoid. There may, potentially, be a change in status, likely related to money, though how big or small depends on your individual situations. You can’t avoid the wheel turning (unless you want to pull a Daenerys Targaryen and try to break the wheel, but if I were you, I’d try to control Viserion first because ever since he joined Team Night King, he’s been going on a freezing rampage in the Midwest and has the same old crowd (you know, that crowd, the real-life Lannisters) whining about global warming being a widespread Stark conspiracy). The only thing you can do – and again, we return to the notion of solidity brought by The Tower – is to brace yourself and prepare as much as you can to accept and live this change with grace, dignity, and courage. If you play it right and wisely, you might even get something positive from it, and make it out transformed in a better way.

Virgo (August 23rd – September 22nd) – The Star:

Virgo, you’re feeling optimistic and confident this month. The Star represents hope and knowing you, you’ll definitely choose solidity and not be impulsive, it’s what you do on a daily basis. You’re naturally melancholic and stoical (in a rather annoying way), but this February, you’ll feel different about almost everything. You’ll be so confident about your good, wise decisions that you won’t resist bragging about them, potentially annoying the people around you who are dealing with side-effects of not choosing solidity. Try helping them, try spreading that hope, positivity, and solidity around you. Don’t get overconfident, though. It may have repercussions on some of you depending on your rising signs and other influences in your astrological charts.

Libra (September 23rd – October 22nd) – The Popess:

There’s something related to education going on – some of you Libras may be picking this month to return to school, finish your degree or start a new one. Or even take a class or a workshop somewhere. Others may get an opportunity to teach a lesson or be instructive to someone or to a group of people. You will all benefit from books – maybe go sign up for a library card and read up as much as you can on anything of interest or use to you, or even new things that you may benefit from. You are likely to discover something new that will help you and will become a significant part of your life, to the point where you’ll ask yourself, “why haven’t I done that before?”. But trust that the timing is right for it to come into your life. This learning and education is an important part in choosing solidity – it will be the cement helping you build something strong and solid.

Scorpio (October 23rd – November 21st) – The Devil:

Ah, Scorpio, always up to no good! This month, you’ll be in full detox/purification-by-fire mode. For you, choosing solidity means, first and foremost, pruning your tree of any diseased fruits. And you will be ruthless. You will not stand anyone’s drama, you’ll just be eliminating them from your life without even giving it a second thought. I can sense a lot of people are going to be unfriended by Scorpios on Facebook. You’re also going to get rid of old belongings that weigh you down both literally and emotionally – we all got that urge after binge-watching Marie Kondo on Netflix in January, but for you, it’s a vocation. All of that is great, it’s always good to get rid of what no longer serves us. But… Try not to be too ruthless, because you might regret it later. Make sure to ask yourself if you really want to get rid of this item, or part ways with that person. If you have doubt, leave the situation aside and return to it at a later date because once it’s gone, there’s no way to get it back.

Sagittarius (November 22nd – December 21st) – The Chariot:

Mighty Centaur, you’re constantly moving, and no wonder. You usually can’t stay still very long, but this month is the absolute worst! You feel like you have so much stuck energy that you need to get rid of, and your usual levels of activity just aren’t enough. And the problem is, you’re wasting that energy towards nothing good. You may be stuck in a frustrating dead-end job, or a relationship that does not bring you joy. So what is a Sag to do? Returning to the theme of solidity this month, you can’t afford to just make a mess out of your energy. So try to pause for a few moments – I know it’s extremely hard, but just try – and see where this energy is going vs. where you want it to go. Doing this activity in writing may be very helpful – it may bring you introspection and self-guidance. Have trust in the results and the decisions you make after that period of stillness – you won’t be wasting your energy in the wrong place anymore, but rather, you’ll be spending it or investing it in something solid that you’re building.

Capricorn (December 22nd – January 19th) – The Sun:

Oh, how happy this month will be for you! The Sun is the answer to all your prayers coming to you on a silver platter. In conjunction with The Tower, The Sun makes choosing solidity not just the best, but the easiest decision for you. There’s not much to say, except that February may be one of the best months of this year for you, so enjoy it, you deserve it!

Aquarius (January 20th – February 18th) – The Tower:

The Tower within The Tower for Aquarians, most of which are celebrating birthdays in the next three weeks. It only reinforces the notion of solidity. You’ve been dealing for some time with something that has collapsed all of the sudden, and it still affects your life. This month is the time to come to terms with it. It’s time to acknowledge and accept what happened and make the decision to start anew. Reflect, meditate and journal on what happened. Look into getting therapy if you endured something traumatic. And whatever you do, make sure you don’t repeat the same mistakes (if you made any… which you probably may have). Make that commitment to yourself and your loved ones, and move on, with faith and trust that there’s a way out of that cycle.

Pisces (February 19th – March 20th) – Justice:

So we Pisceans have been dealing with figurative Towers collapsing on us for several years now. We rebuilt and watched it collapse, but we learned something each time, making the proverbial edifice a little stronger and the collapse easier to live and bear. We’ve dealt with injustice because people tend to take advantage of our kind, loving, optimistic, slightly naive and dreamy personalities. But what hasn’t killed us has made us stronger, and we’ve reached the point where we are, indeed, rebuilding, and we are stepping our foot down. We will not be open to the same patterns that caused us problems in the past. This time, we’re rebuilding once and for all, we’re determined to break the cycle of building and collapse, and we’ve got justice on our side. We’re reaping the fruits of the good actions we made, they’re coming to us as spiritual assistance. Anything we are undertaking this month will be successful and we will receive help, at the right time and from the right sources, to make it happen! We got this!

So there we go, that was our tarot-based horoscope for February 2019! Let’s make the most out of this month and always choose solidity!

Much love to you all and have a beautiful, warm month,

Sophie
